Η Κρακοβία (Πολωνίας καθώς και ένα από τα πολιτιστικά, καλλιτεχνικά αλλά και τουρισμός|τουριστικά κέντρα της χώρας. Στο παρελθόν υπήρξε πρωτεύουσα της Πολωνίας. Εκτιμάται ότι το 2004 είχε πληθυσμός|πληθυσμό 780.000 κατοίκων (ή 1,4 εκατομμύρια λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τα περιχώρα της πόλης).
Η παλαιά πόλη Krakσw έχει μια πλούσια αρχιτεκτονική, συνήθως αναγέννησιακη με μερικά παραδείγματα μπαρόκ και γοτθικα.
